The trench coat is a trend I’ve kind of been on the fence about this spring, since I live in Panamá which is a tropical country, with lots and lots of heat, and I never thought it would work. But the more I studied this trend, the more I knew it was totally wearable here in Panama. The trench is back (did it really ever leave though?), and is here to stay.
As an image consultant, I have to say that a Trench Coat is an essential wardrobe piece that every woman should own. Even if you live in a tropical country like me, whenever you travel it is an essential piece you should pack if you are traveling to fall or spring seasons.
This spring, the trench has been modernised to be worn as a dress, or a light weight type of cardigan. You can go as fancy, or as casual as you want with it depending on how you accessorise.
A few days ago when I walked in to Forever 21 and saw this light weight, army green trench, I couldn’t help but take it home. My mind just started going crazy with all the outfits this little thing could be a part of! (Side note: that is why I love essentials so much and i always talk about them. You can create so many different outfits with them. They are pieces you know you will get good use out of.)
In this look I decided to go more business woman and a bit monochromatic. I love how the different shades of green go together, with a pink handbag as a pop of color. This is an ideal look for a day of meetings.
