Fashion Week: Patch Denim Shorts

This look might come as a surprise to some of you: yes, I know, I am wearing patch denim shorts and a red top. Not something you usually see in Fashion Over Matter, but do to #MBFWP16 or Fashion Week Panamá I decided to try something different; to take a risk.

This look is very relaxed and fun, something I don’t usually go for in clothing, hehe. But to tone down the quirky fun look I added some modern looking accessories like a Purificación Garcia nude handbag and a vintage belt that I was given by my grandma. I kept the jewellery minimal by only wearing small gold earrings.

On another note, I wanted to address the fact that I am wearing shorts. I was never the type of girl to go for shorts. I have always hated my thick legs, but as of late, I have started to embrace them. The trick to wearing shorts is to feel confident in them, no matter your size. Actually, the trick to wearing any piece of clothing is to feel confident in it. If you love it, wear it. We are our worst critic. People actually came up to me that day to tell me they loved how those shorts looked. Stepping out of your comfort zone can have amazing results.

What I wore: Clothing: DDP | Handbag: Purificación Garcia (similar here) | Heels: Schutz | Belt: Vintage
