Fall Style: A Casual Chic Look For Walking Around Annapolis

Casual chic is probably my go to style all of the time. I love mixing a dressy piece like this cropped jacket with a shirt and pants. So to say the least, it is true that dressy, sophisticated and comfortable can happen at the same time, you just have to know what pieces to fusion.

Last Wednesday while being in Baltimore with my family, we decided to visit Annapolis. Never having been there before, I was a little excited to get to know the city.  You might ask what this has to do with casual chic, but it has everything to do.

When visiting a new place, you always want to be comfortable because you don’t know what you might encounter. That is why I thought that going casual chic would be the best way to go. I was comfortable the whole day, and still looked very stylish.

Some tourist tips:

Looking good doesn’t always mean going for a dress and heels. It depends on the occasion and the environment. If you know you are going to be walking around all day, don’t wear heels. That will just ruin the whole day for you. Wear something that you know you can walk miles with.

Be prepared for the weather. Check the weather app on your phone before going to a place you don’t know. Climate changes all the time, and is very uncertain. Even if the place you are going is only an hour away, the temperature might be colder or hotter.

Take your camera. I know this sound overrated and totally cheesy, but memories are worth more than a million words. Record you experiences, and even more if it is with your family.
