Deciding what to wear to work can sometimes be complicated. When I worked as a legal assistant (that only lasted two months), I had to watch the length, fit, and even print of what I wanted to wear. If you are on a job hunt, or looking for what to wear to an interview, here are some tips on how to wear a dress for those occasions!
Nothing above your knee is appropriate. Look for a dress that is just below your knee.
Fitted doesn’t mean tight. If you go for a sheath dress, make sure the dress hugs your body, leaving room for you to breath. The same rule applies for pencil skirts!
This depends on the type of job you have, or are looking for! For traditional jobs, stick to a neutral palette, for more creative jobs, the sky is your limit!
Don’t go crazy with accessories, unless you are looking for a job in the fashion industry! Try to keep it simple, so that your personality can shine through.
The best tip I can honestly give you: don’t wear something you would wear on a night out!
